Privacy policy

This privacy policy applies to all telemedia from EUROline Logistik- und Packsysteme GmbH, i.e. also to Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and other services.

Handling your personal information carefully is a particularly top priority for us. That’s why we value your trust in us handling this information diligently.

Controller

The controller within the meaning of the Federal Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz) applicable in Germany is EUROline Logistik- und Packsysteme GmbH, Groß Parin 27, 23611 Bad Schwartau. You can find more contact details in the imprint.

Legal bases

We generally collect, process and store personal data (and user data) to fulfil the contractual purpose. Data is also collected to safeguard our legitimate interests, in accordance with data minimisation. These are carefully balanced with the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

You as a user must actively provide your consent in cases where personal data (and user data) is collected to an extent that goes beyond the contractual purpose or to safeguard our legitimate interests. This consent can be revoked at any time with immediate effect. Simply send us an e-mail to datenschutz@euroline-logistik.de.

What data do we store?

A log is created each time our homepage is accessed and each time a file stored on our homepage is retrieved. This data is stored for purposes relating to internal systems and statistics. The following data is logged: the page from which the file request came from (‘referrer URL), the name of the file retrieved, the date and time of access, the volume of data transferred, the notification of successful access, the web browser and the requesting domain. Anonymised IP addresses for the accessing computers are also logged.

Additional personal data is only collected if you have provided this information on a voluntary basis, for example within the context of a request or registration, or by sending us an e-mail.

The website sometimes uses ‘cookies’. Cookies are smaller text files that are sent to your computer together with the data actually requested online. This data is stored and kept there for later access.

Most of the cookies we use are ‘session cookies’. These are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies are stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser when you visit us again.

You can change your browser settings such that you are notified about cookies being placed on your computer, and such that you only accept or reject cookies in certain cases or reject cookies in general, and enable cookies being automatically deleted when you close your browser. Disabling cookies may restrict the usability of this website.

Purpose of processing personal date

If there is an option to enter personal or business information (e-mail addresses, names, addresses) on the website, the user provides such information on a solely voluntary basis. This data is exclusively processed and stored for the purposes specified when the information is provided. Your data is also treated confidentially and not shared with third parties. No link is made to the above-mentioned access data. The same applies if you send us information by e-mail.

Is data shared with third parties?

Your personal data is only shared with, or sent to, third parties if this is necessary for the purposes of contract processing - with particular reference to sharing order data with suppliers - or if it is required for billing purposes or you have given your consent for us to do so. You have the right to withdraw any consent given with future effect at any time.

To improve the user experience and to optimally design our content, we use programs from the following providers:

Google Maps

EUROline Logistik- und Packsysteme GmbH uses Google Maps API to display map-based information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data relating to how visitors use map functions. You can find more information about how Google processes data in Google’s privacy policy. You can also change your privacy settings in the data centre there.

You can find detailed instructions on how to manage your own data in connection with Google products here.

Newsletter

EUROline Logistik- und Packsysteme GmbH sends newsletters at random intervals. By subscribing to our newsletter, you are agreeing to us sending you promotional e-mails and statistically evaluating use. Here, we exclusively send newsletters with the recipient’s consent for the purposes stated when consent is given, or on the basis of a legal permission.

By using the recorded double opt-in process, we ensure that no one is able to subscribe using someone else’s e-mail address. To be able to evidence this, registrations are logged on the basis of our legitimate interests, which includes logging the time of registration and confirmation, as well as the sender’s IP address. Changes to mailing data are also logged. Only an e-mail address is required for newsletter subscriptions; any other data optional or can be pseudonymised. We would be happy to specify the legal bases (consent or legal permission).

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter, i.e. withdraw your consent, at any time by clicking on the corresponding link to unsubscribe from the newsletter which can be found at the end of each newsletter. To be able to provide evidence of consent that has previously been given, we may, based on our legitimate interests, store unsubscribed e-mail addresses for up to three years before erasing them. Immediate erasure is possible if the existence of consent has been confirmed.

YouTube

Our website uses plugins from the Google provider YouTube. Provider of the offer is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.
When you visit one of our pages with a YouTube plug-in, you will be connected to the YouTube servers. At the same time it will be informed which pages of our offer you have visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube or Google Account, you allow YouTube or Google to associate your usage behavior directly with your profile. To prevent this, you should log out of your YouTube and Google Account.
We use YouTube for legitimate interest to make our online offer more appealing to you. If you would like more information on how YouTube handles user data, please refer to the YouTube Privacy Policy at: Link.

Safeguarding personal data

If, as an example, we use forms that are used to send queries to us as the site operator, the site will use SSL encryption. You can tell that a connection is encrypted if the browser address changes from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ and a padlock symbol is shown in the browser’s address bar. If SSL encryption is activated, the data sent to us cannot be read by third parties.

We endeavour to store your personal data in such a way that it is not accessible to third parties, by taking all technical and organisational steps. We cannot guarantee complete data security in e-mail communications, hence we recommend that you send confidential information by post.

Access, rectification, suppression and erasure of data

You have a right to obtain stored information relating to data concerning you free of charge, and, where applicable, a right to rectify, suppress or erase this data. You can find our contact details in the imprint.

EUROline Logistik- und Packsysteme GmbH would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have about data protection at any time. Please describe your question or concern in as much detail as possible in an e-mail, which can be sent to datenschutz@euroline-logistik.de. We will review the matter and try to clarify it.

Stored personal data is erased if you withdraw your consent to storage, if knowledge of it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it is stored or if storage is not permitted for other legal reasons. This also applies to information sent by e-mail.

Traffic data is stored in an anonymised format. Personal data that is transmitted is erased once the intended purpose has been fulfilled. Erasure by third-party providers is subject to regulations applicable to them.

We reserve the right to periodically notify you of any changes or updates to our policies. We recommend that you regularly visit our website to learn about any changes or updates. Unless otherwise agreed, the use of any information relating to our customers and customer accounts is subject to this privacy policy. You also have a right to submit a complaint to a relevant supervisory authority.
